Parks and nature reserves play an important role in biodiversity conservation whilst also providing leisure and learning for their visitors. The Adoption of Park program, rolled out in 2011 and expected to reach completion in 2018, makes private voluntary support for Protected Areas (PAs) a viable prospect. Donor companies are repaid in brand visibility and recognition. Funbio manages the funds and conducts all the procurements and hirings needed for PA structuring.

Eneva donated R$ 2.1 million to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, which went towards structuring and managing the PA over a period of six years. Among the main results were the maintenance of the fleet of vehicles and vessels, the construction of a new administration building, nautical garage and boat yard, the refurbishment of office space and repair work on a bridge. OGX donated R$ 2.3 million to the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, where it financed the refurbishment of the researcher accommodation, the renovation and extension of the administrative building, the purchase of new equipment, and assorted research activities.
