The 2021 edition of the FUNBIO Grants Program is glad to announce the 37 awardees selected from a field of 347 proposals, who will receive a combined total of R$ 1.4 million in funding.

On this fourth edition, we received applications from 23 states and the Federal District, representing 61 institutions and proposing research on all seven Brazilian biomes: Caatinga scrubland, Cerrado savanna, Pantanal wetlands, Amazon Rainforest, Marine Coasts, Atlantic Forest, and Pampa grasslands.

On the selection process for this third call, 250 Ph.Ds from all over the country, drawn from a range of specialties and fields, devoted their time and energy so that we could make our final cut.

In the coming weeks, the FUNBIO Grants team will be contacting the selected researchers via email for further details.
