ASSOPESCA – United for Fisheries

back

The objective of this subproject is to strengthen the capacities of residents and associated fisherfolk in order to meet the demands for employment and work in the region. To this end, two specific objectives were idealized: a) Adapt the headquarters to better serve the associates and carry out courses and training; b) Hold computer training for associates.

The children and wives of fishermen, leaders and surrounding residents will benefit. Poverty and misery reflect the decline of the rural-fishing scenario: alcoholism, illiteracy and low education, informality, unemployment, or underemployment. There are still entire communities, within the municipality, that make their living from fishing and that need investment in infrastructure and computer courses to be able to compete with equality in getting jobs and adding value to the fishing community and their work activity.

After graduating, our associates will have access to the computer lab and headquarters facilities for research, recycling of the course, and multiplication of knowledge for future associates, creating conditions for their full development.
