The subproject Integrated Community-Based Tourism Itinerary in the Juatinga Peninsula – Paraty RJ carried out by the Friends of the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve (IA-RBMA) has as main objective to promote the structuring and qualification of tourism services through the promotion and rescue of traditional knowledge and practices, to develop an Integrated Community-Based Tourism Itinerary on the Juatinga Peninsula in the municipality of Paraty – RJ, which brings together local communities, products, services and, above all, the inclusion and protagonism of these communities in the market of tourism in the region. As specific objectives, the subproject proposes to carry out the organization and participatory planning of activities; carry out mapping/inventory of attractions, initiatives, activities and events that fit the concepts of socioenvironmental sustainability/Community Based Tourism; promote training, professional and environmental qualification through courses, workshops and seminars to train local visitors, as well as the integration of sustainable tourism products and services in the region; create the Integrated Community-Based Tourism Itinerary in the Juatinga Peninsula and its governance; and finally, carry out communication, promotion and dissemination efforts for the Integrated Itinerary.
