Project Summary: The project aims to strengthen and expand the contribution of the Women Forest Warriors (Guerreiras da Floresta, in Portuguese) in monitoring, protecting and conserving the forest and all forms of life and ancestral heritage, through Territorial and Environmental Management in the Caru Indigenous Land. To achieve this goal, it intends to expand the options of the Guerreiras da Floresta in territorial monitoring at strategic points of this Indigenous Land; to foster dialogue between different peoples about the role of indigenous women in environmental management and preservation and the valorization of cultural identity; and to strengthen the role of the Guerreiras da Floresta in project leadership, as a mechanism for social transformation and governance. Among the planned activities, expeditions, seminars, an exchange with indigenous people from the Alto Solimões region – AM, workshops and training for the use of websites and social media will be carried out.
