The project aims to provide technical support to the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MMA) and the State of Rio Grande do Sul in implementing actions for the conservation, sustainable use, and benefit-sharing of biodiversity in the Pampa biome, as well as in strengthening the National System of Protected Areas (SNUC) and the State System of Protected Areas (SEUC).
The project will be carried out over 18 months and includes the following actions:
Development of a proposal for the recognition of the Pampa Biosphere Reserve;
Development of proposals for the creation of a Protected Area in the Guaritas de Caçapava region;
Development of the Management Plan for the Ibirapuitã Biological Reserve, improving the quality of management and guiding human activities that interact with the protected area.
