What is

The project “Sociobiodiversity Products from the Caatinga Biome” is executed by the Studies in Nature, Human Development and Agroecology Advisory and Management Board (AGENDHA). The body’s main aim is to advise and support seven associations and one co-op formed by traditional agroextractive and smallholder communities from the São Francisco Basin. These groups all use local materials, such as Cattley guava, cashew, marmalade box, ouricury, queen-of-the-night, savanna serrette and ombu, to generate vital income.  The initiative operates across the municipalities of Santa Brígida, Jeremoabo and Capim Grosso, in Bahia; Água Branca and Olho d´Água do Casado, in Alagoas.
